Doodles wanted to offer a special experience for their most loyal fans in the leadup to the release of their first long-form animated feature. The idea - taking the format of a major animation studio's gallery retrospectives that are often delivered years or decades after a release, and bringing fans behind the scenes early to see the concept art, character guides, and key frames that were being developed by the Doodles' animation team for the upcoming long-form feature.
A 2,000 sq ft raw gallery in Chelsea was brought to life with museum-style partition walls housing 50+ framed concept artworks, together with supporting narrative and visual media for a curated sneak-peek. Over 600 loyal fans were rewarded with this intimate private viewing, along with custom physical and digital giveaways, team meet-and-greets, food and beverage, and an all-night dance party.
